Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 24, 2026

Shoutmiles is a family voice‑trivia game. We built it to be safe and simple for the whole car — including kids. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with information.

What we store on your device

Player profiles you create — a name, an optional age, and your scores — are saved only on your device. We do not upload, sell, or share them. Deleting a profile (or the app) removes that information.

Player names and the host's voice

When the host greets a player by name (for example, “Buckle up, Riley!” or “Riley, you're up!”), the name is sent to our server to create that short spoken audio clip, which is then cached on our server so it doesn't have to be regenerated. The name is used only to make that audio. It is not linked to an account, used for advertising, or shared with anyone.

What we do NOT do

Children's privacy

Shoutmiles is designed to be family‑friendly. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond the on‑device profiles and the name‑to‑audio feature described above, and we do not use any of it to track or advertise. If you believe a child has provided information you'd like removed, contact us and we'll help.

Microphone (optional)

If you turn on the optional “Voice answers” feature, the app uses your device's microphone and speech recognition so players can shout answers. This is processed by your device's built‑in speech recognition; Shoutmiles does not record or store your audio.

Questions and content

Trivia questions and the host's voice clips are downloaded from our server. No personal information is sent when fetching them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and post the new version here.
